Dr. Steve Hatfield, PT, ATC, Founder
Steve is a licensed physical Therapist and Certified Athletic Trainer and the founder of ELITE Sports Medicine. Steve attended Missouri State University and earned degrees in Biology, Athletic Training, and Communications. Upon graduation, Steve attended Temple University in Philadelphia where he earned his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Dr. Hatfield has worked with the Dallas Cowboys professional football team, the U.S. Ski Team, and the Baltimore Orioles organization. In addition, he served as the Medical Director for the Tour of Georgia, and continues to work with professional cyclists. Dr. Hatfield has an extensive background in manual therapy and takes an individual, hands-on approach with his patients. Dr. Hatfield’s goal is to provide patients with outstanding customer service and the most forward thinking, progressive treatment, utilizing leading edge technology and research.
Adrienne Hinton, B.S. Ed., Practice Administrator
Adrienne serves as the office manager and marketing coordinator at Elite. She thrives daily to exceed your expections and maintain the highest level of customer service possible for all current and prospective patients. She has extensive experience in medical billing and is eager to make the process of getting and/or continuing treatment as easy as possible for our patients.
Makayla Mangram, ATC
Makayla Mangram, ATC is a Buford High School and University of North Georgia Dahlonega graduate. While at Buford High School she served as a student athletic trainer, part of HOSA, and active in the Healthcare pathway. Later she went on to UNG Dahlonega to further her education in athletic training. Makayla received her Bachelors in Athletic Training and passed her National Board Certification in May 2017. Makayla has spent time working at three different high schools in the area and two local colleges. She is a crucial member to Elite’s concussion management team in the clinic and in the community. Makayla is continuing her education and getting her Master’s in Education so she can later teach sports medicine at the high school level.
Jill Collins, DPT, Clinic Director
Jill Collins is a licensed Physical Therapist primarily at our Hamilton Mill location. Jill graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science, and went on to earn her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, CA. Jill is certified in Myofascial Manipulation and Dry Needling which she performs regularly to supplement her treatments in the clinic. Jill is experienced in working with a wide variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, but especially enjoys working with young athletes and highly motivated adults that want to return to their optimal level of function. Jill is a former soccer player and is now a distance runner, so she especially enjoys working with runners and endurance athletes. Dr. Collins’ goal is to give every patient an individualized treatment plan to not only improve their symptoms, but to also get to the root of the problem and prevent future problems.
Jonathan Beltran, DPT
Dr. Jonathan Beltran, DPT graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science in 2018. Dr. Beltran furthered his education and graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2022 from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine GA campus. Jonathan has a passion for orthopedic rehabilitation and strives to continue to learn everyday and provide the best possible care for all patients. As a lifelong sports fan Jonathan is excited to work with athletes. Jonathan is passionate about soccer and MMA, though enjoys many sports.

Kole Rogers, Physical Therapy Tech
Kole Rogers is a Physical Therapy Tech at Elite Sports Medicine. Kole attended Southern Wesleyan University where he played varsity baseball for two years and later received his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology at the University of North Georgia. Kole’s background includes coaching high school baseball and serving as a Personal Trainer. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, working out, and hunting. “As a tech, my daily goal is to provide patients with personal care, a positive attitude, and an innovative therapeutic approach towards progress each visit. My career goal is to become a Physical Therapist in the near future.
